Education

A little bit about me, I have a bachalor degree in General Studies from IPFW with a minor in Economics. I am currently a senior at IPFW in Chemistry Education seeking a second degree. I am student teaching at New Haven High School this spring. I am also working on physics and math minors.

Experience

I am currently registered with Northwest Allen and East Allen County Schools to substitute secondary and middle school ages. Being a education major, I have experience with teaching kids several subjects. On top of this, I enjoy the prospect of teaching to all ages. I wish to be a tutor because I know the challenges that present themselves within these subjects and wish to offer a helping hand to those that seek it. After I received my first degree in 2005, I had worked in sales for two different companies in Northern Indiana. My first position was with an RV manufacturer, and my most recent was with Da-Lite Screen in Warsaw. While at Da-Lite, I was in charge of the entire nation's sales including Canada. This was a very challenging position and while it was rewarding, I was never home to enjoy the comforts of family. Now, with a renewed outlook, I know that my passion lies in teaching others. During my first few college years, I knew that I enjoyed teaching others, but wasnt exactly sure that is what I wanted to do with my life. I have experience teaching Sunday School, and chapperoning mission trips and youth gatherings. Also, I have experience with coaching middle school track.

Hobbies

First and foremost, I am a Christian and currently a member at the Chapel off of West Hamilton Road. Secondly, I am and have been married for 7 years and my wife and I have a wonderful 14 month old boy. Most of my time outside of school and responsibilities go to them. I enjoy many things including golfing, running, and pretty much any athletic sport. I enjoy the outdoors, and playing trumpet.
