Education

I have my Bachelors of Arts in Theology (Professional Studies Track) from Concordia University Chicago. I also have an Associate of Arts degree from Lakeland Community College. Additionally, I have an Honors Diploma from Perry High School and I was a member of the National Honor Society.

Experience

When I was growing up, even at a younger age, I had varied moments of helping my peers with homework (even younger kids in elementary school), especially English and Christian theology. However, in all genuineness, I was never truly interested in teaching or tutoring any subjects professionally when I was at a appropriate age to do so (high school). However, at the end of 2013 (when I was attending Concordia University Chicago), I came across an e-mail from the Academic Center for Excellence addressing a professor recommendation for me to become a paid Peer Tutor. I applied, was hired, and began working in the month of January 2014. I found that I absolutely LOVED tutoring. It was fun to help other students learn the subjects I was assigned (philosophy, English, theology, reading & writing), to share my large yet finite knowledge with others, to cultivate my peers' own mental & language talents (I even worked with students who had an academic probation status and/or certain learning disabilities, which I enjoyed), to help develop their study skills when the time came, and sometimes to have a laugh or two (sometimes more). Unfortunately, it was my last semester at CUC in 2014 so I was not able to do it the next semester, but I hope to continue tutoring in some shape or form throughout my life and progress my development in being in such a position. Will you help me with this aspiration? Will we continue to learn and grow together, young and old? My hand as a professional, imperfect, restorative, and down-to-earth human being is open to you in both clear honesty and human compassion. If you do decide to hire me, I look forward to meeting you (and if applicable, your parents); I look forward to helping you learn, develop, and apply your own skills as well as learn a little about your own self. I pray working together will be an enjoyable yet enlightening experience. Au revoir! Certain Items That May Be Relevant: -Dale Carnegie Certificate -various High School, Post-Secondary, and College classes concerning the subjects listed for my tutoring (I even took a class about Dreams!) -semi-finalist in international poetry contests -a couple of my poems have been professionally published -danced (all sorts of forms) since I was three

Hobbies

reading (pleasure and research), writing (fiction and debate), spending time with friends & family, my Christian faith (mostly LCMS), culture, religion, mythology, thinking, philosophy, movies (all sorts of genres, except ghost horrors), anime, photography, observing art, music (all genres, but my favorites are: rock (heavy & light), pop (even Korean & Japanese!), and any type of string instrument), games (board & video), bird-watching, dancing, hiking/walking outdoors, traveling, Pinterest, etc. All in all, I enjoy a lot of things. I'm pretty colorful, but I have my black-and-whites/likes and dislikes too.
